British Education

We follow the broad, balanced British curriculum, delivering an "Internationally British" education in English to children aged 5 to 18.

Welcome to BSU

The British School Uppsala (BSU) offers a world-class British and international education for students aged 5-18 in Uppsala.

As a STEAM school we use Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Math and Science to stimulate student inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking. We teach Cambridge International Education and (IGCSE and A Level) which equip our students for a global future.

Our school building is newly furnished and equipped to optimise the learning environment; proximity to countryside and the city facilitates outdoor activities and learning, as well as curriculum enrichment visits to Uppsala’s museums and universities.

We welcome enquiries and applications throughout the academic year.

Why BSU?

We teach the Cambridge International Curriculum, the most widespread curriculum followed by international schools across the world. This not only ensures smooth school transitions for globally mobile families but is also an assurance of quality.

With measurable, achievable goals for each educational stage, the Cambridge International Curriculum provides students, parents and teachers with the tools to ensure each student achieves their academic potential. At BSU we are proud to prioritise students’ personal and social development alongside their learning adventure.
